Operations, Analysis and Plant Assessments

Basic Lean, Inc. has developed a proven methodology for analyzing manufacturing operations. Our approach considers corporate culture, organizational structure, and the competitive environment in which the company exists. We evaluate the effectiveness of the manufacturing strategy and the efficiency of manufacturing and non-manufacturing operations. We also assess current performance against world business performance.

Executive Consultation

The Basic Lean, Inc. approach is to assist top management in developing manufacturing strategies that are well aligned with overall business goals. These strategies are based on the science of factory physics and the philosophies of lean manufacturing. We are also sensitive to the cultural aspects of a factory transformation; therefore, we use sound principles from the behavioral sciences to help make the change process a positive and rewarding experience for all concerned.

Shop Floor Implementation Support

Basic Lean, Inc. is known for helping managers develop manufacturing strategies that provided remarkable competitive advantages. However, our clients tell us it is our ability to implement these improvements on the shop floor that distinguishes our work. Even the best improvement strategies do not lead to competitive advantages unless they are implemented successfully. Our approach allows workers to take ownership of their own improvement initiatives. We lead shop floor workers and managers to solutions that make good business sense. Basic Lean’s implementation support includes strategic planning, project management, shop floor training, pull system development, cell design, and all aspects of a factory transformation.
