Six Sigma training is now available for those organizations that have demonstrated through their operational performance that the Basic Lean Manufacturing concepts are in place.  Basic Lean, Inc. will not solicit or encourage a Six Sigma contract without first evaluating a perspective client’s facility to perform a lean evaluation and assessment on their readiness for Six Sigma implementation.  The basics of TPS – lean manufacturing concepts, applications and systems – must be in place.  The tools necessary for a successful “Lean Sigma” implementation are still the skills found in the Toyota Production System.  The bottom line is this – in order to be successful in lean, six sigma or lean sigma – the philosophy, discipline and organizational leadership of the Toyota Production System must be in place.
